Oh my god, he has a family?

I look at Lucas and then at the little girl in his arms and then at the girl standing a few feet away.

The little girl looks like Lucas but also looks like the woman. I don’t even have to ask to know that she’s their daughter.

Holy crap, he has a daughter.

When the car pulled up, I didn’t think anything of it. I just thought it was a customer that didn’t know that the garage is closed. When I was driving by, hoping that Lucas was in fact here, I didn’t see the closed sign until I got out of the car.

But then the driver got out and instantly I knew that she was here for Lucas.

She didn’t have to say anything for me to know. It was all in the way she looked over at us as she got out of the car. Or should I say how she looked at me?

I didn’t have to ask, I knew right away that this woman, this gorgeous woman, was something to Lucas. Now I know that she’s the mother of his child.

The woman, who can’t be more than a few years older than me, must see the surprised look I have on my face because she comes over to me with a hand extended.

“I didn’t mean to take you guys by surprise,” she says, giving me a smile. “I’m Celeste.”

Even her name is pretty.

It takes me a second to recover and shake her outstretched hand. “Savannah.” I say, a sheepish smile on my face.

Oh my god, I just introduced myself to the girlfriend of the guy that had his tongue in my mouth last night. And who almost finger banged me! What the fuck?

Lucas was going on about Jason being a cheater, yet he’s just like him.

I can’t believe that I fell for the act and was going to ask him out on a date. I really am stupid and naive.

God, why the hell do I keep going after guys that are a bunch of assholes?

“You’re the pretty blonde.” She voices, taking me out of my through process.

“I’m sorry, what?” I ask her. She knows about me?

“What are you doing here, Celeste?” Lucas interrupts, not letting Celeste answer my question.

My head is swimming with all the possible things that Lucas might have told his girlfriend. I’m going to definitely need more to go off of than just the fact that he called me a pretty blonde.

Did he say it as a compliment? A joke?

I need to know, because if it is the later, I need to walk away before I waste my time.

He has a girlfriend, there won’t be any time wasted.

True. He and Jason may be cheaters, but I sure as hell are not. I felt bad for kissing last night for fuck’s sake.

“I texted you. When you didn’t answer, I thought I would drive by to see if you were still here before I headed to the house.”

Lucas lets out a sigh, coming to stand next to Celeste.
